Founder of Afrolabs (previously Information Logistics) and a thousand more ideas. David’s ability to catch a wisp of a thought and hone it into a big picture with a plan of action is Quite Something. Always thinking, always moving (except when searching for his keys), and absolutely always positive.

Starting out his career in Accounting, moving through to software development, consulting on products and managing companies along the way, Diccon is not only in the perfect position to help us with our internal decisions on numbers and projects, but also to advise our community on the same. Curious, engaged and always smiling, he’s a welcome voice in the room.

Richard is the best kind of Sneaky. He gets all of the things done before you even realise they are on the to-do list. His speedy thinking, typing and coding are as fantastic as his quick humour. He sits in a fairly silent corner from which occasional chuckles emerge.

Benjamin doesn’t just want to play, he wants to be part of building the next best games out there too and brings this love into everything he creates. Entering a room, you’ll find him halfway through telling an intricate story or sitting in the corner with his head in the Cloud.

Brian’s smile stretches from Nairobi to Cape Town and probably halfway further around the world too. He loves solving problems with code and, like any excellent developer, gets great joy out of learning new things. Basically he is a rockstar. Plus, he is literally a rockstar in a band with gigs and everything.

Merwe is so busy delighting you in all interactions that you don’t even think about the fact that he works as well, and then he shows you the work he has done and you think “what how when did that happen so successfully while you were so busy being delightful”

Always smiling, always learning, always helping. He is the most positive ray of sunshine in any room and will break through all unknowns with a Can Do attitude and dauntless drive to figure it out. Once understood, he packages up the learnings and presents them to the team so everyone can benefit from his efforts and knowledge.

Joel’s interest in user experience came from his interest in human psychology. Coupled with his love for technology, this led him to a natural and intuitive career in UX Research where he has comfortably taken up the task of helping to shape product decisions. He does this with a drive for truth, a dash of cheeky wit and a debonair panache.

John, John, John. What would we do without this delightful human? Officially the finance and admin guy, unofficially the main reason we get anything done in both our business and personal lives. And if that isn’t enough, he also makes sure we have a wholesome breakfast everyday and he can find absolutely anything that has ever gone missing.

Both efficient and empathetic, Amy is in a great position to help our people define and understand their hopes and dreams, and help to achieve them. Focusing on our inner team and our extended community, her goal for growth is to support personal development as it is the first step not only in team productivity and product success, but most importantly, general happiness in pitching up for work.
